Today Polish Hill, Tomorrow the World

There was an article in the Post-Gazette yesterday about the revitalization of Polish Hill, and leading the charge is my cousin Terry, who is described in the piece as the "energetic new leader of the Polish Hill Civic Association". Yes, I guess it would be correct to describe Terry as "energetic", just as it would be correct to describe the surface of Venus as "warm".

I’m also impressed that there was an article about Terry in the paper and phrases like "well-known carnivore" and "beef jerky aficianado" didn’t factor into it. Last year for Christmas I got Terry a galvanized steel bucket full of meat. He’s easy to shop for.

In other news, my camera arrived today! The battery is a-chargin’ and I managed to put the lens on correctly (I think). Still have one lens en route, hopefully will arrive tomorrow. Now I just gotta figure out how to stuff everything in the bag and go out and take some pictures!

Went to see Superbad yesterday. It was good. Not Supergood, but good. Tonight Mark, Ted and I are going to see Balls of Fury. After having a few, of course.
